In news that will no doubt displease fans, Ciara has announced that her 3rd studio album ‘Fantasy Ride’ has been pushed back to January 2009. {Source} It really does seem as if the dreaded ‘push back fever’ that swept the industry last year with the likes of Kelly Rowland, Mya, Nicole Scherzinger etc, is in full effect this year too. Other serially delayed LP’s this year include Keri Hilson’s ‘In A Perfect World’, Brandy’s ‘Human’, among several others.
I’m guessing that the fact ‘Go Girl’ – despite it’s hotter than hot video – is tanking on the Billboard Hot 100 (occasionally dipping in, yet falling short of the Top 100) has something to do with the delay. I still maintain the previously announced ‘High Price’ would have made for a killer first single.

I was so upset but pleased because if she dropped in december she would of got overshadowed by britney and beyonce, and that is true. It’s good that her team are finally realising go girl was not lead single worthy. The video was mad hot though.Maybe high price or work will serve as lead now or something totally different? I’m still buying the album cos i’m a huge fan.

Well the fact that Go girl is not doing soo hot on the charts is not really the whole reason its being pushed back. half of her album was leaked so she had to return to the studio to make up for all the s*** that leaked
Yepppp. She shoulda released High Price as soon as it leaked and pushed out Go Girl. She waited too late to even try and drop it to me. Especially with the album being this “conceptual” 3-disc thing, we shoulda get at least 2 singles before the release anyway.

basically all the songs i’ve heard that were meant for fantasy ride..have sucked. i want ciara to record songs that sound just as good as goodies and (most of) the evolution.
im still waiting for the track that catches my attention (that’s not hard to do, but with the current songs..ciara needs to work a lil harder)

T-Pain wasn’t the answer, and since he’s practically the Prince of Crunk music, and she is the proclaimed First Lady Of Crunk-N-B, I expected a hype song, not that slow, stupid, “…Go Girrrrrrl…” ish they both brought to the track.
